What Makes A Dad?

God took the strength of a mountain,

The majesty of a tree,

The warmth of a summer sun,

The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,

The comforting arm of night,

The wisdom of the ages,

The power of the eagle's flight,

The joy of a morning in spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add,

He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so,

He called it ... Dad

I want to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day. Let us honor and celebrate not only our fathers, but all men who have acted as a father figure in our life - whether as Step-fathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or "Big Brothers."

Any man can be a Father, but it takes a special person
to be called Dad.

Did you know?

First Father's Day celebration was in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910 by a
woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd, who wanted and thought that this would be a great way to honor her father. Sonora wanted her father to know how special he was to her after her mother died and he raised her.

I love what you said about Fathers... Yes, anyone can be a father--but it takes a very special person to be a dad.
