" I am sitting on Mommy and Daddy's bed, so Mommy can tell me a bedtime story. I love stories read to me. We live in an apartment on 94 Warren Avenue in East Providence, RI. When my Daddy comes home we are going to go live in one of Nana's apartments down the road at 413 Warren Avenue. We will be all together there, Mommy, Daddy , and me"
Mommy , Daddy and I are a happy family

Happy 39th Wedding Anniversary

We were married on Saturday, June 28, 1969 at 11:00am at St Francis Xavier Church on Carpenter Street in East Providence, Rhode Island June 28, 1969 39 years ago

I am married to a most thoughtful guy who never forgets our anniversary nor my birthday.

I was working on the computer tonight when he and Mark came in at 11:30pm after visiting our Aunt Hilda. He came over to the computer and asked what I was doing and what time it was.

I said it was 11:57 pm. and Why? He didn't answer and just kind of hung around.

At 12:01am he leaned over and said Happy Anniversary and kissed me and handed me a dozen of beauiful red roses and a card. This is what the card said

To the Woman I love on our Anniversary

There is a hand I love to hold, a face I love to see,

There is a voice I love to hear, that means the world to me.........

There is a tender, loving kiss that warms me through and through,

There is a certain smile that always cheers me when I'm blue........

There is a heart that understands what I am dreaming of......

and all of these belong to you-

the wonderful woman

I love

Happy Anniversary

Brotherly love???????

I was visiting blogs of some friends tonight and I came across Cheryls.
One of her blogs posted on Thursday, February 14, 2008, titled,
Makes me want to have 1000 children, has a video of two little brothers, reminded me of my 2 grandsons. I viewed it and I was laughing so hard, my son wanted to know what I was looking at and he came over and laughed too.
It is titled "Charlie bit my finger again" I felt so bad so Charlie's brother, can you imagine how it must have hurt him, especially when he said "Charlie that hurts, it really hurts and it is still hurting"
I wonder how many teeth little Charlie has! Charlie's laughs and grins are priceless.

In Memory of my Dad "Happy Father's Day"

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

A Dad is a person who is loving and kind, And often he knows what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens, suggests, and defends ~

A dad can be one of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient and helpful and strong.
In all that you do, a dad's love plays a part ~
There's always a place for him deep in your heart.
And each year that passes, you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud just to call him your dad!
Thank you, Dad ...
for listening and caring, for giving and sharing, but,
especially, for just being you!
Happy Father's Day

What Makes A Dad?

God took the strength of a mountain,

The majesty of a tree,

The warmth of a summer sun,

The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,

The comforting arm of night,

The wisdom of the ages,

The power of the eagle's flight,

The joy of a morning in spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add,

He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so,

He called it ... Dad

Friday the 13th PORSCHE humor

How to avoid a ticket:
There was a middle aged guy who bought a brand new Porsche convertible. He took off down the road at 80 mph and enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left on his head. “This is great,” he thought. “Just what I need.”

He looked in his rearview mirror and there was a state trooper behind him, red and blue lights flashing and siren blasting. “I can get away from him with no problem,” thought the man. He floored it and flew down the road at over 100mph. Then he thought, “What am I doing? I’m too old for this kind of thing.” He pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the trooper to catch up with him.

The trooper pulled in behind the Porsche and walked up to the man. “Sir,” he said, looking at his watch, “my shift ends in 30 minutes and today is Friday the 13th. If you can give me a reason why you were speeding that I’ve never heard before, I'll let you go.”

The man looked back at the Trooper and said, “Last week my wife ran off with a State Trooper, and I thought you were bringing her back.”

The trooper said, “Have a nice day!”
