March 27th SPECIAL BIRTHDAY MEMORIES

Happy 4th Birthday, Buddy

We rescued and adopted Buddy on April 15th, when he was 13 months old from the animal shelter in East Providence, RI. We were told that he had been badly abused and needed special handling. We had difficulty getting his love and trust in the beginning, but with great patience and a week of training, he has become a loving addition to our family.

Happy Birthday, Dad
Today if you were with us, we would be celebrating your 86th birthday
Edmund Joseph Pacheco was born March 27, 1922, the son of the late Virginia and Manuel Pacheco. He died on June 10, 1986 at the early age of 64. The photo below is when he was in the US Army in 1944, the year I was born.

IN MEMORY:

A silent thought, a secret tear,
keeps your memory ever dear.

Wow....he is handsome! Even years after the death of a loved one it can be difficult at times. I love the quote you put in your blog.

I will always be Daddy's girl. He and I shared many moments together, growing up I was his carpenter assistant. I held the hammer and banged in many nails. Working right beside him on many of his carpenter jobs brought us so close. I helped do cedar shingles on houses, lay vinyl flooring, remove wallpaper, paint, do masonary patios. You name the project and I was there with my Dad learning his trade.
